The Admiral Choir sings for George Thomas Hospice at Queens Arcade.
On Tuesday 15th December from 12-12.30pm the Admiral Choir will raise angelic voices and funds for charity at the Centre.

The Choir has been in training for this public appearance ever since it was formed as part of a team-bonding experience organised by Sing and Inspire who have been working with Admiral Insurance for over a year.  The choir was set up in October 2008 to help improve staff motivation, increase productivity and improve business results.

The choir is made up of around 50 people from a number of departments within the insurance giant’s organisation and the staff found that it has really helped bring them closer together and improved communication – not to mention singing abilities – throughout the company.  Choir members have reported increased confidence, self-esteem and in once case, a reduction in blood pressure medication, which was directly linked to being a part of the choir.

Henry Engelhardt, Chief Executive of Admiral said, “It is not obvious that if you employ Inspire and run a choir or singing group that you are going to have a better business, but believe me it works.  The people are happier, they’re enthused, they’re motivated, they learn to work together better, it really is quite amazing!”

Sing and Inspire has been working with David Wescott, an extremely talented composer on the arrangements for the performance.  David has helped Sing and inspire to put together an amazing set of songs which the choir are already performing to very high, professional standard. They have also added some very familiar Christmas songs to get the audience in the Christmas spirit.

The Admiral Inspire Choir is thrilled to be performing at Queens Arcade and is delighted to be raising funds for the Centre’s chosen charity, George Thomas Hospice Care.

Nick Beckett, General Manager of the Centre, said “We are delighted to welcome Georgina and the Admiral Inspire Choir to the Centre at this festive time of year and we are thrilled they are going to collect funds for George Thomas Hospice.  We feel it is a great service to be able to give our customers some extra Christmas atmosphere while they shop and I am looking forward to the performance enormously.”
